Tell us a little bit about your role at WBM.:I am fortunate to be over the ENTIRE Willow Bend Mortgage Renovation Lending Department. Of course it is just me, so team building outings and departmental functions are bit boring, but I still have fun entertaining myself, and I LOVE engaging with our awesome Sales Staff and other corporate employees! How long have you worked at WBM?5 years in August! How did you get your start in the mortgage industry?Back in the day, my first job was with Lomas Mortgage. I was in the default servicing department and sat at an MI desk fulfilling document requests from MI companies in order to facilitate a claim payment on defaulted and foreclosed mortgages. Short version: I sat at a desk reading magazines waiting for a fax to come in requesting a document, but it’s where the itch for the mortgage biz got its start. What’s your favorite part about working at WBM?The people we are lucky enough to work with and engage with every day. And getting to help folks obtain their dream home by utilizing our renovation programs. I love the before and after pics! What do you do in your free time?No comment……well, here are a few of things…..Kari and I love the outdoors so anything involving that, included going out on our boat to mountain biking to walking the dogs, working in the yard/garden, hiking and anything in the mountains! Who at WBM has helped/influenced you?Craig and Tracy were the ones that provided me with the opportunity. From there and their continued support, we grew and grew by getting the Renovation word out there and all the CONTINUED support from the senior management team up to and including the Kevin(s), Natalie and Todd! And our World Class sales staff, the ones that drive me to be the best I can so they have a minimal impact on their day to day operations when they do these renovation loans! Without them where would we be! Describe WBM in 3 words:1. Family If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?To be able to fly. Why not? What’s your go-to song when you’re wanting to get pumped up?Thank God I’m Country Boy. Dog? Cat? Or both?Dog! How has your career grown?From sitting at an MI desk waiting on a fax, to managing REOs, to Default Servicing/Loss Mitigation Manager, to Servicing Manager/Default Servicing Manger/Renovation Lending Manager to here and now, and at the last 3 companies I have worked for, Renovation Lending Manager, my favorite and sweet spot of a job. Name one thing most people don’t know about you:I was on the math team and played the drums and used to have hair.
